The price of the popular 2023 Kia Telluride SUVs will be going up.

The story of the 2023 Kia Telluride’s extraordinary success scarcely needs to be told again. The SUV caused a stir in the market for midsize three-row SUVs in 2019, as it provided a level of style, craftsmanship, roominess, and overall appeal that was unrivaled by any other SUV in this extremely competitive sector. It received accolades from professionals all around the industry.

The price tag of the Telluride, which began in the mid-$30,000 range and did not even reach $50,000 for fully loaded models, was the one that provided the foundation for these warm and fuzzy feelings. It is not surprising that purchasers have purchased each and every Telluride Kia the manufacturer has been able to produce. The Telluride has been slightly revised for 2023, and while it still provides excellent value, there’s no sugarcoating it: the price has risen.

In addition, Kia has chosen to focus this price hike on the base model of the Telluride, the LX, which will now start at $37,025 after a $2,300 rise. As was the case before, adding all-wheel drive will add an additional $2,000 to the asking price. The price of the Telluride S goes up by $1,700, the cost of the Telluride EX goes up by a more significant $2,900, and the Telluride SX’s manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) goes up by $2,200. The rest of the portfolio sees a smorgasbord of pricing increases.

Naturally, this year also marks the launch of the off-road-themed X-Line and X-Line Pro trim levels, which are appended to the 2023 Telluride’s EX, SX, and new SX Prestige trims. These trims are affixed to the EX, SX, and new SX Prestige models. The X-Line treatment adds $4,195 to the cost of a Telluride EX (this is over and above the base price of the front-drive vehicle and includes the all-wheel-drive system, which costs an additional $2,000).

Customers interested in purchasing a Telluride SX have the option of selecting either the X-Line or the more involved X-Line Pro, with the latter option costing $3,395 more than the former and the former costing $4,395 more than the former.

These prices include the obligatory AWD system, which costs $2,000 more. Finally, the top-of-the-line Telluride SX Prestige, which has a starting price of $51,725 (yes, the Telly has finally broken the $50,000 barrier), comes with all-wheel drive as standard equipment. This means that the X-Line package is an additional $1,395, while the X-Line Pro goods are an additional $2,395.

2023 Kia Telluride X Denotes the Finish Line

Are you curious about the differences between the X-Line and the X-Line Pro? The X-Line adds 20-inch wheels, X-Line badges, a 110-volt household power outlet in the cargo area, special front and rear bumpers that are said to improve off-road clearance, a 0.4-inch suspension lift, recalibrated traction control, and an additional 500 pounds of towing capacity to each of the trim levels that were previously mentioned, which are EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

In addition, the towing capacity is increased by an additional 500 pounds (for a total of 5,500 pounds). When you upgrade to the X-Line Pro trim level for the SX versions, you also receive all-terrain tires fitted on 18-inch wheels that have been painted black.

Every 2023 Kia Telluride comes standard with the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine that produces 291 horsepower and an eight-speed automated transmission. A new pair of 12.3-inch displays that stretch from ahead of the driver to the center of the dashboard, a phone-as-key feature, a standard WiFi hotspot, and Kia’s Highway Drive Assist 2 advanced driver’s assist with lane-centering and adaptive cruise control are some of the key upgrades and newly available options for the 2023 model year (plus automated lane changes).

One key deletion? The amber-colored LED headlamp surrounds, which were a distinguishing feature of the Telluride, will no longer be available after 2023. But for now, here is the pricing for the 2023 Kia Telluride, which, for the most part, aligns with the pricing of the segment’s big hitters like the (also revised) Toyota Highlander and the soon-to-be-replaced Honda Pilot. Details about which trim levels get which features are forthcoming, but for now, here is the pricing for the 2023 Kia Telluride.
